The Kimpton Clocktower Experience
You are going to like it and you will love it. What am I talking about? Well, I am happy you asked! The Kimpton Clock tower Hotel in Manchester United Kingdom is the accommodation that you will imagine staying at in your dreams. But, that dream can become a reality, just as it became for me. Located in the heart of the City of Manchester on Oxford Street, My stay at the The Kimpton, an IHG Hotel & Resort was simply the best. This historic property dates back to when the building first opened as The Refuge Assurance Company headquarters in 1890. Today, this glamorous and luxurious property is the moment and if the Grammy Award Winning artist, the late Amy Winehouse was still alive, she would agree.The hotel is strategically located in a prime area that offers easier access to tourist attractions, shopping, and business districts.
The Experience…
When I was looking for the perfect destination to celebrate my birthday, I just had this urge to go back to the United Kingdom – and one of the Cities on my list was Manchester. Now, I have traveled to the United Kingdom a number of times, but I have never ventured to the city of Manchester and so I decided to give it a try. Fortunately, with the help of American Express, The Hotel Collection, The Kimpton Clocktower, An IHG Hotel came highly recommended, and I indulged. As i walked into the grand lobby, I was met with a staff that is well-trained, attentive, and certainly strived to meet my every need. Check In was extremely professional and thanks to American Express, I was upgraded to the Two Double Premium Suite.
The Glamour!
As I walked to my Suite, I already knew that I was up for a great treat. The room was spacious with high-quality furnishings – and let me tell you about the good sleep that I had! Expect plush bedding, high-end technology, and let us talk about a fantastic view! The Kimpton shows off exquisite interior and exterior design, which is truly a breath of fresh air. From the color patterns, to the natural aesthetic of an historic building, the Kimpton is certainly heavy on dosages of glamour and fabulosity. My suite gave me lights, camera and action. In addition, the room showed off sweeping double-height windows and I could tell that many aspects of the room was boasting its original features. There was a tea and coffee facility, mini fridge, a smart TV and a safe. The room also had a Bath tub and over bath shower. The Classic Chesterfield armchair and side table were also perfect additions to the room.
But, incase you are interested in one of the other room category, there is a room type for everyone: The City Single, Double Room, Double Low Floor, and the King Double Premium. If you are feeling yourself or if you are traveling with a big family, you can treat yourself to one of Kimpton’s specialty Suites such as the King Bed Suite, King One Bedroom Suite, King One Bedroom Suite with living area or the signature suite.
Eat It Drink It
I must say, from the ambiance of the The Refuge Dining Room to the Winter Garden and the scrumptious food. All of these were standouts for me. I promise you that you will eat, drink and even work in style. The menu is eclectic, with small dishes and sharing platters that meld flavors from all over the world with Mancunian style.
All in All, my two nights stay at the Kimpton Clocktower Hotel An IHG Collection was a great addition to my UK escapade – and while luxury hotel experiences are undoubtedly fantastic, I also understand that they can be costly. However, if you are looking for a once-in-a-lifetime, pampered experience with exceptional services and top-notch amenities, the Kimpton Clocktower will align with your preferences and expectations.
These three days for me was associated with opulence, exceptional service, and a sense of indulgence and I cannot wait to come back.
